Once upon a time there was a hole...

We had it dug out when we put in our pool.

For nearly 5 years it sat like this while I pondered the details and weighed our options... not to mention the cost of lining a pond this size... which at the time, liner was running .95 a square foot. Ouch!  We ran into a huge rock in the middle and decided it would have to stay.

Notice that plastic under the rocks on the waterfall? More later on that blunder...
