The waterwheel was made from a downed cypress tree, given to us by a friend. It is powered by water gravity fed from a 55 gallon drum upflow filter housed within the millhouse. The millhouse also serves as the pump house and a tool shed. The wishing well is an old stock tank, lined with EPDM and surrounded by rock. It too is an upflow filter. The water flows out over the rocks to the right of the waterwheel. I toss watercress, parrot feather, iris and water hyacinths in the wishing well to aid in filtering the water.
